Manchester – 01 August 2023– Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has bolstered its tax advisory team with the appointment of Imran Khan in Manchester, to help expand the firm’s transfer pricing practice.

Mr. Khan brings over 20 years of tax experience, specialising in transfer pricing matters across a number of UK regions. He’ll be based in Manchester, covering the entire North region, whilst continuing to support clients across the Midlands and the South.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Khan spent five years with Grant Thornton in the Thames Valley region, where he worked with a number of tech, fintech and data analytics businesses in the mid-market fast growth space, providing tailored transfer pricing solutions to fit their specific needs and requirements. Before this, Mr. Khan spent five years with Deloitte in the Midlands where he focused on the engineering and manufacturing sectors including automotive and aerospace. 

This strategic hire of Alvarez & Marsal’s first tax Managing Director in the firm’s Manchester office reflects the team’s significant growth in recent years, and demonstrates the firm’s intent to support the region’s diverse range of agile, mid-market tech firms with increasingly complex transfer pricing issues.
