During this unprecedented time of change and challenges, she is focused on helping financial institutions solve complex problems, improve performance, drive critical change and maximize value. With more than 35 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry, she has led critical business units to achieve excellence across all major lines of business. Her broad and diverse banking expertise includes direct leadership of retail branches, consumer mortgages, student lending, commercial banking, mass affluent investors and student banking. Ms. Dunleavy brings a proven track record in turning around and restructuring underperforming business units. Before joining A&M, she spent 26 years with Bank of America, serving in a variety of executive management positions. As the Consumer Real Estate Sales Executive, she was responsible for end-to-end management of all sales channels, including direct-to-consumer and business-to-business channels. This included 5,100 employees, $68 billion of first mortgage production, $86 billion of home equity funded dollars, as well as insurance product goals. Within a year, she transformed the group by building a new business model, upgrading the management team, and executing a successful culture shift to exceed sales, profit, customer and associate goals. As the Consumer Executive of the Mid-Atlantic, she successfully led 290 retail branches with $13 billion in deposits and 2,800 employees. During this time, she exceeded deposit and product sales, incorporated the Mid-Atlantic Fleet branches into Bank of America, initiated changes in branch hours to capture market share, and led a culture change to daily retail sales focus with year-over-year growth of 142 percent. In addition, Ms. Dunleavy successfully led Commercial Banking groups, a $9 billion student lending business, retail banking for Bank of America's 247,000 employees and student banking, which generated 2.2 million new deposit accounts in 2008. She also developed and implemented strategies for several customer segments, as well as execution, communication and monitoring plans to ensure success. Ms. Dunleavy earned a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, and an M.B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. She served on the Board of Directors of Elm Resources and was Chairman of a contribution board for a local children’s hospital, in Fairfax, VA. She is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
