  • Jean Laurent Poitou has been appointed to lead the development of a fully integrated digital offering in EMEA to deliver tangible business results for A&M’s clients

London – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has launched a new digital business unit in EMEA designed to transform the financial performance of companies facing, or at risk of, digital disruption, and to help them capture digital and technology-led opportunities. 

A&M has trebled both revenues and people in EMEA in the last four years and investment in this new business unit is set to further boost this strong growth trajectory, with around 30 per cent of EMEA revenues predicted to be powered through digital by financial year 2026. The firm is significantly investing in talent and developing teams that combine a unique blend of specialists from the top professional services firms and those with operational backgrounds across every business area and geography. 

Jean Laurent Poitou has been appointed as a Managing Director to lead the growth of the digital business in EMEA. Mr. Poitou and his team will work across each of A&M’s sectors, including consumer, retail, industrials and automotive, healthcare, life sciences, financial services, hospitality, and technology, media and telecoms in EMEA to help clients design, develop and scale digital solutions that improve top and bottom line and unlock long-term value. 

A&M has seen increased demand from clients for practical advice on how every aspect of a business can be digitally enabled sustainably and at scale. The firm has evolved digital into a unique proposition that is built on data and analytics, customer and workforce experience, sales and marketing, and new digital business models in a way that strongly complements its existing service offerings and turnaround results-driven heritage.

He has helped clients unlock new sources of revenue, provide digitally powered interactions and leverage insights to sharpen competitiveness.

Mr. Poitou is based in Paris. Before joining A&M, he was Senior Managing Director at Accenture and member of its Global Leadership Committee. He specialised in the technology, telecommunications and media sectors and digital businesses and was central to the launch and expansion of Accenture Digital’s Industry X.0, and the growth of Accenture Interactive. He also led Accenture’s Applied Intelligence businesses in Europe.
