Arpita Singhal joins as a Managing Director in EMEA specialising in value driven, tech-enabled, end-to-end transformation programmes.
London, 18th July 2022 – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) continues to expand its digital offering in EMEA with the appointment of Arpita Singhal as a Managing Director in its Life Sciences division, based in London.
Ms. Singhal leads A&M’s digital transformation and innovation services, specialising in developing and accelerating large-scale digital transformation programmes for companies in the life sciences space. She focuses on helping clients realise business value through technology-enabled performance and process improvement, as well as operational excellence. She applies a value-driven and people-centric approach to deliver end-to-end transformation solutions and has deep experience supporting companies during M&A processes and carve-outs.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Singhal was the Managing Partner and Head of the UK Business at Tenthpin, a boutique consulting company, where she built a multi-million-pound digital consulting business from the ground up. She has also held senior roles at Boston Consulting Group and EY, working with clients in EMEA, the U.S. and Asia.
Jean Laurent Poitou, Managing Director and A&M’s Head of Digital, EMEA, said, “Arpita is a digital leader and a seasoned operator in life sciences, and her appointment is another significant milestone in the development of A&M’s digital offering in EMEA. Her ability to strategically use technology as an enabler in business transformation programmes to deliver long-term value for clients is a great complement to A&M’s results-driven and operational heritage.”
Raymond Berglund, Managing Director and Head of A&M’s EMEA Healthcare & Life Sciences practice, added, “The Covid-19 pandemic demonstrated that companies in the life sciences space need to prioritise agility if they are to be better prepared for future shocks. Technology has a central role to play in helping businesses improve operational efficiency and Arpita’s experience in the application of data, analytics and automation helps businesses to do just that, while also driving revenue generation and cost savings.”
Ms. Singhal said, “The life sciences industry is more outcomes focused than ever and there is increasing pressure on companies to evolve and adapt quickly. Digitisation, when applied strategically, is fundamental to helping businesses in the space achieve this. I am looking forward to working with A&M’s team of experienced operators to deliver transformative solutions for clients that prioritise value creation, people and innovation.”
