His responsibilities have included management of stressed financial situations and LBO structures, performances improvement, redesigning management information systems, cash management, M&A and investor relations. Before joining A&M, Mr. Rivière served as CEO of RLD, n°3 in France (linen, garment and washroom rental) subsequently sold by Sagard Private Equity Partners to Vermeer Capital Partners. He was Operations Director with Sagard between 2008 and 2011, assisting in managing their portfolio companies to increase efficiency and deliver value creation projects. As a senior director with A&M between 2006 and 2008, he led the following assignments: president of the board supervising the sale of the leading maker of Point-of-Purchase material in France on behalf of U.S. private equity shareholders and lenders; assisting the board of a video games developer /publisher, Infogrames, in rebuilding a business plan following a financial restructuring and a change of shareholders; and assisting the management of a car equipment maker in building a global treasury forecasting system to secure a financial restructuration. His additional engagements include: re-engineering the financial department and systems of the second largest French furniture retailer, BUT, after a change of shareholders. In 2002, Mr. Rivière joined the retailing group Photo Europe (Turnover €300 million) acquired in LBO by the Cinven Funds and in 2005-2006 led the group’s financial restructuring and selling process. In 2000, he served CFO and CEO in the turnaround of the shipyard Dufour (turnover €100 million), a company (close to bankruptcy) owned by financial investors and producing sailboats. In 1993, Mr. Rivière became CFO of the Food group Yoplait, modernizing the financial and EDP departments, improving the operational profitability and contributing to international development. He started his career as a consultant with Arthur Andersen, and later worked as a controller within the Lafarge group in its German (cement and building material) subsidiary and in its sanitary ware division. He also held various CFO assignments within the luxury division of L’Oreal, including one in a U.K. subsidiary for six years. Mr. Riviere earned a master’s degree in commercial law from Sciences-Po Paris and an MBA from HEC-ISA. He speaks French (native), English (fluent) and German.
